How it Works

Learn how Reprompted helps you find, customize, and share high-quality AI prompts.

    What Reprompted is

Reprompted is an open registry for AI prompts you can trust. We provide a searchable, versioned collection of prompts for ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI models.

    Key features:

    • Searchable prompt library with quality scores
    • Template variables for easy customization
    • Documentation and examples for each prompt
    • Community feedback and reporting
    • Versioning and testing capabilities

    How Variables Work

Customize prompts with template variables for your specific use case

    Template Syntax

    Variables use double curly braces: {{variableName}}

Write a blog post about {{topic}} for {{company}}.

    Click-to-Fill Editing

Click any variable in the prompt editor to edit it inline. Changes sync instantly between the template and the variables panel.

    Presets

Save your variable values as presets for quick reuse. Perfect for different environments (Production, Testing) or use cases. You can rename and delete presets anytime.

    Variable Metadata

    Each variable can have:

    • Label: Human-readable name
    • Note: Description and usage guidance
    • Default value: Pre-filled suggestion

    How Quality Scoring Works

Understanding prompt quality and the "Recommended" sort

    Current Scoring System

Prompts are scored 0-100 based on:

    40 pts
    Variables with notes
All variables should have helpful descriptions
    30 pts
    Documentation quality
    Substantial documentation (80+ characters)
    15 pts
    Tag coverage
    5+ tags for better discoverability
    15 pts
    Description length
    Clear, detailed descriptions (100+ characters)

    Future: Community Signals

We're building community-driven quality signals including usage statistics, user ratings, and verified outputs. These will enhance the scoring system to help surface the most reliable prompts.

    Recommended Sort

The "Recommended" sort combines quality score (70%) with completeness score (30%), prioritizing prompts that are both high-quality and well-documented.

    How to Submit a Prompt

Best practices for creating high-quality prompt submissions

    What Good Documentation Looks Like

Great documentation helps users understand when and how to use your prompt:

    • Clear use case and context
    • Example inputs and expected outputs
    • Tips for best results
    • Limitations or known issues
    • Model compatibility notes

    Variables with Notes

    For each variable, provide:

    • Label: A clear, human-readable name
    • Note: What the variable is for and how to fill it
    • Default value: A helpful example (optional but recommended)

Example: A variable {{company}} might have the note "The name of your company or brand" with a default value of "Acme Corp".

    Quality Checklist

At least 100 characters in description
    80+ characters of documentation
    All variables have descriptive notes
    3-5 relevant tags for discoverability

    Trust & Reporting

How we maintain quality and handle issues

    Reporting Issues

Found a problematic prompt? Use the Report button on any prompt page to flag issues:

    • Spam: Promotional or irrelevant content
    • Low quality: Poorly written or ineffective prompts
    • Harmful: Content that could cause harm or bias
    • Plagiarism: Unauthorized copying of content
    • Other: Any other issues you've noticed

Anti-spam protection: Each prompt can only be reported once per user to prevent abuse. Reports are logged and reviewed to maintain the quality of the registry.
